NAI Platform’s Medical Leasing Team, led by Associate Brokers Jay Verro, (CCIM) and Felton McLaughlin, (CCIM, SIOR) has successfully leased ±80,561 SF of medical office space in 2023 within the Capital District.

Notable deals inked at The Bone & Joint Center with ±8,400 SF leased at 1365 Washington Avenue, Albany and New York Oncology Hematology’s renewal of ±15,544 SF located at 400 Patroon Creek, Albany.

“The medical leasing market remains quite active,” McLaughlin said. “Because construction costs for medical have skyrocketed since the pandemic, most practices cannot afford to buy or build new buildings. As a result, many doctors are looking for landlords that can fund and deliver turn-key medical space. And the desire to be near complementary practices that can be a source of referrals is still quite strong. Lastly, there’s been a lot of movement in the market and as a result, there are quality spaces that are fully plumbed, and opportunities abound.”
