Thomas “Tom” Cairns

Cairns focuses on tenant representation and the nonprofit community as well as specialized services to the banking industry and the medical community.

With more than 30 years of combined experience in real estate and the nonprofit sector, Cairns is uniquely qualified to provide broad real estate expertise with specific sensitivity to the needs of nonprofit organizations. Cairns has been a licensed real estate professional since 1970 and a licensed real estate broker since 1973. He is the former owner/broker of Moffat Hollis Better Homes & Gardens, Cairns Commercial Real Estate and First Appraisal Group, and he served as Senior Vice President of Prudential Blake-Atlantic Realtors. While owner of Cairns Commercial Real Estate and First Appraisal Group, Cairns exclusively represented Citibank for their bank expansions, appraisals and REO’s. Cairns also represented the Private Banking division of Citibank in Manhattan with regards to assisting Private Bank clients with their upstate properties. Cairns was personally involved in over one thousand real estate appraisals and assignments for Citibank.

Cairns received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Mount St. Mary’s College. He went on to obtain a master’s degree from the State University of Albany’s School for Public Affairs. Cairns also participated in the O.P.M. program at Harvard University.
